Third Thursday: VSA Delaware

Home/Uncategorized/Third Thursday: VSA Delaware

vsapic1VSA Delaware is a beautiful melting pot. They are a small but mighty non-profit arts organization that builds programs at the intersection of the arts, education and disability communities.

VSA Delaware (VSADE), formerly Very Special Arts, provides unique arts programs that prioritize the organization’s commitment to “inclusion.”  Individuals with and without disabilities encountering full accessibility is an enriching experience that benefits all involved.  The power of acceptance and belief in everyone’s unique abilities is the core vision of VSA Delaware.

VSADE is based in Dover, but its programs are offered throughout Delaware.  VSADE’s sole mission is devoted specifically to enhancing the capabilities, confidence and quality of life for individuals with disabilities by providing life-long learning opportunities in the arts. Join us for a presentation about VSADE’s current programs and information about their annual Celebration of Creativity!

A few programs offered by VSA Delaware are:

  • Celebration of Creativity an annual traveling art exhibit
  • School-based Artist Residency (SAR) program
  • Transitional Players, a Performing Arts Group (PAG)
  • Artist Residency program for adult populations
  • Arts Administration Internships for transitional students
