Bringing art to the community

The Milford Murals project, completed by Art League members in 2011, is an example of public art that tells the story of Milford.

The “We Love Milford” mural was presented to the community by the Art League as part of its 10-year anniversary on June 14, 2014.  It was designed by Sara Gallagher from sketches submitted by children from Milford’s elementary schools.  Funding provided by SeaWatch International.

Mike Rasmussen of the Painted Stave in Smyrna talks about his craft distillery on Third Thursday.

ARTreach 2017 is dedicated to continuing the mission of the Mispillion Art League in providing community-wide access to a quality visual arts program. Join our efforts to offer scholarships to students who demonstrate artistic talent and have an interest in attending classes at MAL.

To support one individual for a six-week session of classes costs $75. Whether you sponsor a full tuition or partial, any amount of donation would be greatly appreciated. Please call the MAL at 302-430-7646. Scholarship information will be sent to you. Thank you so much!

Public Art is an outreach program of Mispillion Art League.

Third Thursday series invites the public to attend free art-related talks and demonstrations. Third Thursdays open minds and doors to new experiences and new friends.  If you would like to be a Third Thursday presenter, please contact Sara Gallagher at Music, art, dance and other art-related topics are all welcome.

The Milford Murals project, completed in fall 2011, is another example of Public Art. This project took nearly four years to complete, and brings beauty, history, and art to the City of Milford.

We encourage you to attend an event, participate in a project, or simply enjoy our offerings through Public Art.

You can always contact us at or by calling 302-430-7646.
