Delightful days of summer are just around the bend and here at the Art League we are ready with loads of creative fun to explore. Help your child to think creatively and critically by using art to stimulate problem solving skills and invigorate their imagination.
This summer we are offering four sessions of mini camps beginning the week of July 11. The camps will run each week, Monday through Wednesday – from 10 a.m. to noon for ages 5-8 and 1 to 3 p.m. for ages 9-13. During the first session, which starts July 11-13, we will be offering a “Superheroes” camp. Design, draw and then bring to life your very own superhero. By the end of the camp your hero will be jumping off the page!
Our “Animal Antics” is the next opportunity to indulge the young artist’s imagination. The dates of this session are July 18-20. By the end of this session the student will have designed, constructed and painted their very own inner animal mask!
The third week starting July 25-27, is a “Trash to Treasure” exploration. Suffice to say you will never look at an empty soda can the same way!
During the week of August 1-3, go nuts with our “Nature Week” camp. We will gather up the wonders of nature around the art center and use them to create solar prints and learn the basics of printmaking. Then onto painting your own rock star to using some “rap” (wrapping) skills to create a nature vessel.
Sign up for as many classes as you want! We promise creative, summer fun and fantasy using all the imagination a young artist can muster. Of course kids Saturday will still be offered throughout the summer.
