Meet Irene Averitte

//Meet Irene Averitte

The Mispillion Art League invites you to drop by the gallery to meet our new Operations Manager, Irene Averitte.

Irene was brought up as a self-described “Army Brat” growing up in Europe and around the United States. She has been sketching since the age of ten which is when she decided she wanted to be an artist. Her beautiful paintings show the influence of a young artist viewing art in many European museums and galleries.

Irene began receiving recognition for her work in high school with 1st place awards. She earned an AA with distinction in Fine Arts and Art History from Northern Virginia Community College in Annandale, VA.

Complementing her art background are her business degrees. After earning a BA and MBA, she owned and operated a small Virginia business focused on the sale of antiques, decorative paintings, fine art and collectables. The Mispillion Art League, with its members and artists are now the beneficiaries of this combination of her art background plus business experience and acumen.

Visit the gallery and look closely at her work and you will see her adaptation of pointillism.  Step back from her paintings and take in the depth and beauty of the nature she sees and loves.

We look forward to seeing you in the gallery soon.  Be sure to introduce yourself to Irene Averitte. You can reach her by email at,
